Wrought iron and tubular steel fencing for residential and light-commercial properties — pre-fabricated panels for budget-driven runs, fully custom welded sections where design, height, or layout demands it. Pickets are typically 3/4-inch or 1-inch square tube on 4 to 6-inch spacing, welded to horizontal rails and capped with spear tops, flat tops, or decorative finials. Posts are 2-inch or 2.5-inch tube set in concrete footings sized to panel height and wind load. Everything is hot-dipped galvanized or zinc-primed before powder coat, finished in semi-gloss or matte black, bronze, or custom RAL colors. Driveway gates run as single swing, bi-parting, or cantilever slide, with LiftMaster or DoorKing openers, photo eyes, safety loops, and keypad or smartphone access. Pool enclosures are built to pool code — 4-foot minimum height, no climbable horizontals, self-closing self-latching gates with the latch above the 54-inch line. Pedestrian gates ship hung and squared on heavy hinges with locking hardware matched to the rest of the run.

Materials & techniques
Substrate matters more than the finish color — uncoated raw steel rusts under powder coat within a few years in South Texas humidity. We spec hot-dipped galvanized or full zinc-primer pre-treatment under every powder-coat layer. Pickets are typically 3/4-inch or 1-inch 16-gauge tube; rails are 1x1 or 1x2 14-gauge. Welds are ground smooth on visible faces, then re-primed before topcoat. Hardware is stainless or powder-matched. Operators are LiftMaster Elite or DoorKing — both serviceable locally, both supporting MyQ or cellular access. Concrete footings size up with gate width and wind load, not down.
How the project runs

Shop drawings or panel order
Custom welded runs go to shop drawings for client sign-off. Pre-fab panels are ordered direct from the manufacturer with lead times confirmed in writing.

Post setting and panel install
Posts dug, plumbed, and set in concrete. Panels welded or bolted to posts after footings cure. Field cuts are touched up with cold galvanizing and matching powder-coat aerosol.

Gate fabrication and operator install
Pedestrian and drive gates hung, adjusted, and tested. Operators mounted with 120V or solar power, photo eyes set, safety loops cut into the drive, and access devices programmed.

All hardware adjusted, openers cycled with the homeowner, remotes and codes handed off, and warranty registered with the operator manufacturer.
Frequently asked questions
Pre-fab panels versus custom welded — which should I choose?
Pre-fab is faster, cheaper, and fine for straight runs at standard heights. Custom welded is the move when you need non-standard heights, curved sections, raked runs that follow grade, monogram inserts, or matching an existing historic fence. Cost difference is usually 40 to 80 percent.
Will an iron fence rust in San Antonio?
Properly prepped — hot-dipped galvanized or zinc-primed before powder coat — an iron fence will hold its finish 15 to 20 years before any touch-up. Skip the galvanizing, and you'll see rust bleed at welds and bottom rails within 3 to 5 years, no matter how thick the powder coat looks.
Can you make the fence pool-code compliant?
Yes. Pool code in Bexar County requires minimum 48-inch height, no horizontals or footholds inside the climbable zone, picket spacing under 4 inches, and self-closing self-latching gates with the release above 54 inches. We build to those specs and pull the pool barrier permit when required.
Do you install automated driveway gates?
Yes — single swing, bi-parting swing, and cantilever slide gates with LiftMaster or DoorKing operators. Includes photo eyes, safety loops cut into the drive, keypad or card-reader access, and smartphone control. We also retrofit openers onto existing iron gates if the structure is sound.
