The trailered vacuum runs a 16 to 20 horsepower impeller that mulches leaves at roughly a 10-to-1 volume reduction, which is the difference between two trailer loads and twenty. We never bag leaves curbside — disposal goes through our trailer to a licensed yard waste site. Roofline gutters are hand-cleared because blowing them out packs debris into the downspout and creates clogs that backflow during the next rain. Frequently asked questions
When should leaves be cleaned up in San Antonio?
Cedar elm and sycamore drop runs October through December; live oak drops late January through March. Most properties need a heavy cleanup in November and a second in late winter once live oaks finish.
Can leaves just be mulched into the lawn instead of removed?
Light leaf cover can be mulched with a mower — it actually feeds the soil. But a thick mat over dormant St. Augustine smothers the turf and sets up brown patch. If you can't see grass blades through the leaves, they need to come off.
Do you clean out gutters?
Yes, gutters and downspouts are part of every full property cleanup. Clogged gutters during a winter rain back water under fascia and into soffits — that's a much more expensive problem than the cleanup itself.
What do you do with all the leaves?
